MJH soccer practice begins Wednesday, Aug. 6. This is open to all girls and boys 5th -8th grade. Practice is 4:00-5:30 at MJH and Mr. Diaz and his wife are coaching this year. Let's get back to our own soccer team! Reminder.... Fall Sports parent meeting on Thursday at MJH at 4:30.

Our parking lots are being seal coated on Monday, 8/4. MJH first, then NGS. MJH gravel lot parking and gym door entrance available if needed. Still under construction this week. NGS, park on street. Limited access to the building after 10:30 am. Thank you!

Fall Sports Begin Next Week, here are the first practices:

8th Volleyball Monday 8/4 9 am -10:30 am at Newark High School
7th Volleyball Monday 8/4 10:30 am-12 pm at Newark High School
6th Volleyball Tuesday 8/5 1-2 pm at Newark High School
5th Volleyball Tuesday 8/5 2-3 pm at Newark High School
Cross Country Wednesday 8/6 7-8 am at MJH
Soccer Wednesday 8/6 4-5:30 pm at MJH
Parent/Coach Meeting Thursday 8/7 at 4:30 pm at MJH

Due to construction, MJH Fall Sports Coaches/Parent meeting will be postponed until Thursday, August 7th at 4:30 pm. Please note that ALL volleyball practices will be held at Newark High School from August 4th-8th. Both fees, an updated physical and the parent signature form must be submitted to MJH on or before Thursday, August 7th to continue practicing/participating from that point. Thank you for your flexibility!

MJH has window A/C units for free. There are 7 and they are 220v. A bit dirty, but they still work great! You pick up from MJH. Please contact Mrs. Turman dturman@ncsd66.org. Pick up Monday - Friday 8 am - 3 pm.

MJH's Fall Sports Coach/Parent meeting will be held on Monday, August 4th at 4:30 pm in the MJH gym! Remember both fees (Sports Boosters and District fee) must be paid, waivers signed, and a sports physical turned in BEFORE the athlete is allowed to practice. This brief meeting will take care of all of this for Cross Country, Volleyball and Soccer!

NGS field day moved to Thursday at 8:30 am. Free hot dog day on Wednesday for all MJH and NGS studens and staff - please sign up in homeroom! Thank you!

MJH will be celebrating our students' achievements during our Honor Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 20 at 1:15. Awards include honor roll, clubs, & perfect attendance ! Parents welcome to attend. Please use athletic entrance. Doors will open at 1:10 pm.

To Our Learning Community, We are aware that tax bills have been mailed and are available online. We have been in contact with Kendall County Clerk’s Office for the last two weeks. We believe the final calculation rate is incorrect on this year’s bills. We have an appointment with Debbie Gillette, the Kendall County Clerk, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 to try to remedy the incorrect rate. We will keep you updated on our progress.
